    Buy and Hold

Buying and Holding markets are key because if all the sudden a bull market turns into a bear market you can not panic. Because if you calm down and hold your stocks the bear market will eventually pass by and turn into a bull market allowing for you to sell for most likely a gain. But if you don't hold and the bear market turns out to be a shorter period of time that expected than you just got huge loses for a stock or fund that you could of had a gain on. So Buying and Holding is a better market strategy unless your new to the market or like 30 because you will still have 50-60 more years to invest.

As long as they are good stocks and not one that goes bankrupt I agree with you.

That's true but you should be able to see a bear market before it hits and liquidate your stocks at either a gain or small loss. look at the market right now for example the reason it's down is because people saw the bear market before it came and liquidated their stocks causing the market to go from a neutral market to a bear market. the best strategy is to buy and hold but unfortunately 99% of traders do not live by that strategy and tend to sell as soon as their stocks drop even a penny.
